Patrícia Ribeiro, 44 years old, is considered the first trans singer to achieve success in Portugal. She recently recalled one of the most difficult periods of her life, revealing the serious consequences she faced after applying industrial silicone to her face, hips and buttocks.
According to the artist, the procedure was performed in the 2000s, when she claims she did "crazy things" due to lack of information and financial resources at the time. The application of liters of industrial silicone ended up deforming her face and buttocks, generating serious health complications.
Patrícia said she needed to spend almost 1 million reais on various surgeries trying to remove the product from her body and face. She highlighted that industrial silicone never comes out completely from the organism and, since then, has suffered from constant inflammation, having been hospitalized several times due to complications.
The singer also recalled a situation where she was at death's door during surgery performed in São Paulo. The account serves as a warning about the dangers of aesthetic procedures performed without adequate medical supervision and without standardized products.
