Roney Facchini died at age 73 this Sunday (6th), in São Paulo. The information was confirmed by theater producer Marllos Silva, a friend of the artist, who informed that Roney suffered a sudden illness. The family has not yet released the cause of death nor informed the details about the farewell ceremony.
Roney Facchini was marked in Brazilian television for the role of Luís Silva, the father of the family in the classic series "Rá-Tim-Bum", broadcast by TV Cultura in 1989. This performance was his TV debut and the role that made him known to the public.
Throughout his career, the actor also participated in several soap operas, including "As pupilas do Senhor Reitor" on SBT in 1994, "Roda da vida" on Record in 2001 and "Bang bang" on Globo in 2005. In cinema, he worked in the films "Não quero falar sobre isso agora" from 1991 and "Eliana e o segredo dos golfinhos" from 2005.
In theater, Roney Facchini built a solid career, starring in plays such as "Gato por lebre", "Os mistérios do sexo", "Tudo o que você precisa saber para acabar com seu casamento" and "Ricardo III".
