An extreme meteorological phenomenon hit the towns of Albergaria-a-Velha and Oliveira de Azeméis, causing extensive damage and leaving the population frightened. The event, which lasted only two minutes and occurred within a 10 kilometre radius, combined strong winds and hail.

The residents of these two parishes in the district of Aveiro reported being shocked by the violence of the phenomenon. One witness reacted with amazement, stating that she had never seen anything like it.

Local authorities will be assessing the extent of the damage caused by this brief but intense storm that affected the region.
