Barão Vermelho opened the Palco Mundo programming on the third day of Rock in Rio 2026. The band was present at the event's first edition in 1985, when they delivered one of the most memorable performances in the history of the festival and the group. The show was special for the musicians, who took the opportunity to remember the eternal Cazuza, the band's vocalist who died at age 32 in 1990.
Cazuza was shown multiple times on the large Rock in Rio 2026 screen, in photographs that recalled the band's original lineup. The images moved the audience in attendance, who were able to see the singer's appearance during his glory days with Barão Vermelho.
The highlight of the performance came during the song "Todo amor que houver nessa vida." Barão split the vocals between Frejat, who was on stage, and Cazuza, shown on the screen, in a virtual duet that moved the band's fans. It was the first time in 41 years that the two vocalists "sang together" again, since the band's last performance with Cazuza took place at the first Rock in Rio in 1985.
