The appointment comes within the scope of continuing the mission of the Humanitarian Association of Arraiolos Volunteer Firefighters, complying with the legal and statutory procedures provided for by the institution.
Gonçalo Lopes succeeds Hugo Pontes, who passed away in June this year, from sudden illness. This swearing-in represents a new stage for the Active Corps of the Arraiolos Volunteer Firefighters, officially marking the beginning of the new commander's term.
