Plenergy reached on Friday the milestone of 20 service stations in Portugal, having inaugurated simultaneously two stations in Castelo Branco and Ponte de Lima, completing less than two years of operation in the country. The company claims to be the largest low-cost fuel operator on the Iberian Peninsula.
The station in Castelo Branco, located on Estrada do Montalvão, represents the brand's debut in Beira Baixa and in the district, featuring two refueling islands for four vehicles simultaneously and an electric charging solution. The station in Ponte de Lima, on Via Dom Pedro I, is the second station in the district of Viana do Castelo, with the same characteristics. Both operate in automatic mode 24 hours a day, with on-site support during daytime hours.
The expansion occurs in a context of continuous rise in fuel prices. Plenergy guarantees high-quality fuel with prices approximately 10% below the national and regional average. The company's Country Manager in Portugal, Tiago Preguiça, stated that reaching 20 operational stations in less than two years represents validation of the business plan's success and the brand's strength, emphasizing that each new opening responds to the financial pressure on families and businesses.
The company maintains its goal of closing 2026 with 30 stations in Portugal, with construction advancing in Palmela and Almada. Founded in 2015, Plenergy currently has more than 400 active stations on the Iberian Peninsula and aims to reach 500 refueling points by the end of 2027.
