Regabofe: at Lisbon's new seafood restaurant, meals are "without ceremony"

Sábado5 September 2026 at 08:00

A group of six friends opened Regabofe, a new seafood restaurant in Lisbon. The establishment proposes a more relaxed and informal approach to seafood gastronomy, moving away from the traditional "ceremonies" associated with this type of cuisine.

At Regabofe, customers can find offerings such as shrimp cones, croquettes and coastal prawns. The focus on more accessible and practical versions of seafood has caught attention, with these dishes not going unnoticed.

The restaurant's concept is based on simplicity and sharing, inviting customers to enjoy seafood without formalities, in a relaxed atmosphere that contrasts with the usual elegance of restaurants specializing in this type of cuisine.

A 62-year-old worker, with more than ten years of service at a supermarket in Siena, Italy, was dismissed after failing to detect hidden products in a shopping cart during a "mystery customer" test carried out on October 27. The employee, who is also a union delegate, considers that the items were deliberately placed in a position difficult to observe, something the company has not commented on. The Filcams CGIL union is following the case and questions the transparency of the criteria used in these evaluations, suspecting they may be used in a discriminatory manner against workers with greater seniority. The organization threatens to take protest action and possible strike action if negotiations do not result in the worker being reinstated.
