The Public Security Police managed to save a 57-year-old man who suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest on the street. The agents intervened quickly at the location where the victim was in a medical emergency situation.
After assessing the victim's condition, the police officers initiated manual resuscitation maneuvers to try to reverse the cardiorespiratory arrest. The maneuvers were complemented with the use of an automated external defibrillator, an essential instrument in basic life support.
The rapid and coordinated intervention of the agents allowed them to successfully resuscitate the 57-year-old man. The automated external defibrillator equipment proved to be determinant in restoring the victim's cardiac activity.
