The Volta System, a packaging deposit and refund system, is being reinforced in restaurants, hotels and similar establishments in Portugal. SDR Portugal announced the expansion of its automatic collection kiosk network to these locations.
The kiosks are already operational in several cities across the country, including Albufeira, Barcelos, Cascais, Funchal, Ponta Delgada and Vila Nova de Famalicão. This network allows consumers to deposit eligible packaging and receive a refund.
The system is intended for establishments such as cafés, restaurants and hotels, which can now join the collection point network. The expansion aims to facilitate the return of packaging by consumers and hospitality professionals.
SDR Portugal continues to work on expanding the system's coverage, with the goal of increasing the number of delivery points available throughout the national territory.
