Air France-KLM reiterated its interest in TAP and awaits with "expectation" the start of the final negotiation round for the purchase of a stake in the Portuguese airline. The Portuguese Government will initiate negotiations with the two candidates that submitted binding offers for the purchase of 44.9% of TAP, namely Air France-KLM itself and Lufthansa. The announcement was made by the Minister of the Presidency, Leitão Amaro. This process comes within the framework of the partial privatization of TAP, with the Portuguese executive now entering the decisive phase of negotiations with the two European airline groups interested.
