After the Central Bank's ban, Pix will have receipts without advertising and links. The new rule was approved by the BC and takes effect in 2027. The change prohibits the inclusion of commercial content in transaction receipts, something that had been questioned by consumer protection experts.
The changes also cover the Special Refund Mechanism (MED), a system used to contest scams on Pix. With the new regulation, both users and banks will have access to more information during the dispute process, seeking greater transparency in fraud investigations.
The measure aims to protect consumers from abusive commercial practices on receipts and strengthen the security of the instant payment system. Pix, created by the Central Bank, has become one of the main payment methods in Brazil in recent years.
