Volta system gains 12 new kiosks for packaging collection in restaurants and hotels

SAPO Notícias5 September 2026 at 07:00

SDR Portugal is strengthening the Volta system collection network with the installation of 12 new kiosks for packaging collection in restaurants, cafés and hotels. This expansion represents an investment in the system's collection point network.

Six of these new kiosks are already operational, while the remaining six are in the installation or planning phase soon. The kiosks are solutions specifically designed for the restaurant and hospitality sector, adapting to the needs of these establishments.

The Volta system is a packaging collection system that allows consumers to return packaging for recycling through collection points distributed across various locations. SDR Portugal's focus on kiosks for the restaurant sector aims to increase accessibility and convenience for this type of establishment.
