What is happening in the Lindsay Clancy case and what could be the outcome?

Público4 September 2026 at 16:04

The Lindsay Clancy case involves a mother who was diagnosed with postpartum psychosis and committed a crime. The defense argues that the mother did not have criminal intent due to her mental condition at the time of the facts.

It is now up to a jury to decide on the intent of the crime committed. This decision is crucial in determining the outcome of the legal proceedings.

Postpartum psychosis is presented as a relevant factor in the evaluation of the case, which may influence how justice views the defendant's responsibility for the acts committed. The trial awaits the jury's deliberation on these matters.
