LOUSADA: Arrested for possession of prohibited weapon

The Territorial Command of Porto, through the Lousada Territorial Post, arrested a 24-year-old man in flagrant delicto for possession of a prohibited weapon. The arrest occurred on August 24 in the municipality of Lousada.

The operation was carried out as part of a road traffic inspection action conducted by the GNR military officers in the aforementioned municipality. During the inspection, the elements of the Republican National Guard proceeded with the inspection of a vehicle.

The military officers verified that the individual was in possession of a prohibited weapon, which led to his immediate arrest in flagrant delicto. The man, aged 24, was taken to the competent authorities for the appropriate legal proceedings.

A 38-year-old mother, Corie Walsh, was formally charged with first-degree murder for the death of her two-year-old son Barrett, in Frankfort, Illinois. She confessed to hanging the child from the basement beams because she believed the boy was "the Antichrist" and "a demon." A neighbor found the body and called police, but paramedics could not revive the child. The mother also tried to harm herself and was taken to the hospital. Thousands without power: there will be prolonged power cuts in Portugal and these are the regions affected
