TrensRJ will complete one hundred days of operation on Sunday with Pix payment for tickets available to passengers. The date also marks the availability of the new payment method at 100% of the stations in the Rio de Janeiro railway system, according to the concessionaire. The Pix payment operation began on May 30. Until the last survey, made on August 31, 657,606 ticket payments were recorded through the method. On business days, Pix reaches an average of 10,000 transactions per day, according to TrensRJ. For the concessionaire, the numbers reinforce passenger adoption of the payment alternative. To pay for the ticket via Pix, the customer makes the payment directly at the station ticket office and receives a single ticket or a QR Code to validate the trip.
