PSP seizes stolen articles and medications in Matosinhos

The Public Security Police seized stolen articles and medications in Matosinhos during a police operation. A 36-year-old man, of foreign nationality, was detained by the authorities.

The suspect was in possession of articles of various kinds that were subsequently returned to the establishments from which they had been stolen. The medications seized were also confiscated by the authorities.

The man was subject to a Term of Identity and Residence, a measure that requires him to remain identified and with a known address during the judicial process.

A 38-year-old mother, Corie Walsh, was formally charged with first-degree murder for the death of her two-year-old son Barrett, in Frankfort, Illinois. Thousands without power: there will be prolonged power cuts in Portugal and these are the regions affected

E-REDES announced new scheduled power outages for Sunday, September 6th, affecting areas in the municipalities of Odemira, Mafra, and Palmela. In the municipality of Mafra, in the parish of Santo Isidoro, outages of up to five and a half hours are planned (06:00-11:30), while in Palmela, in Quinta do Anjo, the cut may last five hours (05:00-10:00). In the municipality of Odemira, particularly in Vila Nova de Milfontes, numerous postal codes will be affected between 07:00 and 11:00, over a period of four hours. E-REDES explains that these cuts are necessary to carry out interventions on the electrical grid, including connections, repairs, operations or conservation work on the infrastructure, scheduled for the shortest possible period.
