The Lisbonense ferry hit the Trafaria jetty and a Silopor structure during this morning upon arrival at the Trafaria river terminal. The accident caused damage to the vessel and the structures hit.
Two crew members were slightly injured as a result of the occurrence. Both were assisted on site but hospitalization was not required.
The ferry was carrying 27 passengers and two vehicles at the time of the accident. Authorities are investigating the causes of the crash.
As a result of the incident, vehicle transport was interrupted on the crossing. Operations at the Trafaria river terminal were temporarily affected.
