A 24-year-old man was arrested in flagrante delicto by the GNR in Lousada on August 24, during a road traffic control operation carried out by the Lousada Territorial Post, belonging to the Porto Territorial Command. The arrest occurred when the military officers were inspecting a vehicle and found that the driver was in possession of narcotic substances.
During the security search of the suspect, the authorities seized a knuckle duster, three doses of hashish and two doses of cannabis. The man was subsequently made a suspect and a report was filed for drug consumption.
The case was referred to the Judicial Court of Lousada, which will be responsible for the subsequent procedures. The intervention falls within the scope of road traffic enforcement carried out by the GNR in the municipality of Lousada.
