The Municipality of Loulé and the Menos Pausas Community are promoting on October 24 at the Tivoli Hotel at Vilamoura Marina the I Menos Pausas Congress, an initiative dedicated to women's health, menopause, and well-being. The meeting aims to create a space for sharing knowledge, experiences, and inspiration, bringing together health professionals, doctors from different specialties, psychologists, and specialists in conscious aging.
The program will be entirely dedicated to menopause and the different dimensions associated with this phase of a woman's life, seeking to provide rigorous information and tools that allow for a better understanding of physical, emotional, and mental transformations. Among the topics planned are hormonal changes, sexuality, and nutrition during menopause, overall health, and the cultural differences that exist between Portugal and Spain in how this stage is approached.
In addition to the scientific and informative component, the congress will feature moments of yoga, meditation, and dance, in an approach that aims to articulate physical, emotional, and mental health with the principles of conscious aging. The initiative seeks to create a space where scientific knowledge intersects with different forms of well-being promotion, valuing women, their choices, and the different journeys throughout life.
Participation is free, although subject to mandatory registration, which can be done through a form made available by the organizers. The meeting will be moderated by Maria Alfaro, founder of the Menos Pausas Community.
