The French government announced an agricultural support plan worth over one billion euros, described as "massive support" for the country's farmers. The measure comes in response to the severe difficulties faced by the sector, with production drops exceeding 50% caused by drought and extreme heat.
Among the main measures planned are rural tax exemptions, compensation for affected farmers, and an agricultural restructuring program. The French executive thus intends to mitigate the effects of adverse climatic conditions that have been devastating crops throughout the national territory.
