The Federal Police carried out on Friday Operation Polaridade to dismantle a group suspected of frauding administrative procedures related to the acquisition and registration of firearms destined for Collectors, Sport Shooters and Hunters (CACs). The action executed 20 arrest warrants and 26 search and seizure warrants against individuals and companies in several cities in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to the municipality of Vila Velha, in Espírito Santo.
The investigations were initiated after the identification of inconsistencies in processes analyzed at the Federal Police Delegation in Niterói. The inquiry indicates that an outsourced collaborator, linked to the documentary analysis activities of the Service Unit's division, would have participated in the frauds.
