The 4th edition of the comic book project "Stories in the Shade of the Montado" was created inspired by the montado ecosystem in the territory of Odemira. The project, which has existed since 2022, brings together writers and artists with the aim of paying tribute to the cork oak and the montado. This edition continues the tradition of the previous ones in exploring the relationship between art and the Alentejo landscape. The montado is a characteristic ecosystem of southern Portugal, dominated by the cork oak and the holm oak, and constitutes a cultural landscape of great environmental and economic importance for the region.
