oglobo3 September 2026 at 18:58

Datafolha will release this Thursday (3) the first presidential poll following the series of Q&A sessions with presidential candidates held by TV Globo. This will be the second poll by the institute after the official start of the campaign on August 16, and the first commissioned by the Globo group (newspaper O GLOBO and TV Globo) in this election.

The Datafolha survey surveyed in person 2,004 voters, at a cost of R$ 307.6 thousand. This will also be the institute's first poll to measure the impact of the start of electoral propaganda on radio and television.

Quaest had already released on Wednesday (2) the first survey capturing voters' reactions to the interviews. The survey brought up topics such as investigations into the Master Case and the three inquiries opened by the Federal Police against Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha.

In the Quaest poll, Lula leads in the first round with 37%, compared to 30% for Bolsonaro. Candidate Cury appears with 10% of voting intentions.

The Electoral Prosecutor's Office of Minas argued that the removal of Cunha's mandate in 2016 generated an eight-year ineligibility, which would only end in 2027, after the elections, as provided by the Clean Record Law.
