The City Council of Zaragoza, governed by the PP of Natalia Chueca, approved this Thursday a new civic ordinance in an extraordinary plenary session, achieving an objective that had been set more than a year ago and could not be materialized in July due to a technical error. The regulation will govern behaviors across a wide range of aspects of public life.
The approval was possible thanks to the votes of the preferred partner of the government, Vox, and the transfuga council member Marisa Gaspar. This alliance allowed the measure to pass, marking the beginning of the last year of the Popular Party's legislature in the Aragonese capital.
The new ordinance establishes limitations on the use of the burqa, prohibits sleeping overnight in the city's parks, and includes fines for bachelor parties that "disrupt coexistence."
