Candidate for governor of Rio de Janeiro Douglas Ruas, from PL, promised that, if elected, he will inaugurate the Cancer Hospital of Nova Friburgo, in the Mountain Region of the state, within the first one hundred days of his term. Ruas was present this Thursday (3) at the National Cancer Institute, in the Central region, and took a walk through the commerce of the Fátima neighborhood.

The PL candidate stated that he intends to create a reference center for oncological treatment also in the West Zone of the state capital. According to him, the strategy aims to regionalize oncological care in the state, bringing quality treatment to the interior.

Ruas declared that he intends to end the suffering of patients who travel long distances to seek treatment, providing more comfort to residents of the interior of RJ. The candidate criticized the current overload of Inca, the main reference for cancer treatment in the state, and defended that regionalization will relieve the unit to better serve the capital.
