Banker Daniel Vorcaro stated in testimony to the office of Supreme Federal Court (STF) Minister André Mendonça that he feels "uncomfortable" offering a new plea bargain proposal. According to him, this discomfort is due to the fact that he maintained a "cordial" relationship with the director-general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues.
Vorcaro explained that he would like to build a new collaboration with the Justice department, but that the proximity to the PF director-general prevents him from doing so with tranquility. The banker mentioned that Andrei Rodrigues attended events and participated in the bank's growth, in addition to being present in several situations that he would like to narrate.
The case is being monitored by the STF after revelations about a report containing messages from Vorcaro. The messages would detail how the banker turned to Minister Alexandre de Moraes to try to circumvent investigations, including phrases such as "can you hold it?" and "do I already have to be out?". In the first STF session after these revelations, the ministers ignored the crisis involving Moraes.
