Fenprof received, this Thursday, from the Ministry of Education the final version of the draft decree-law, which concerns the recovery of service time for teachers. The union received the document accompanied by a brief note indicating that the text "contains no alterations compared to the previously distributed version".
Fenprof reacted with strong criticism, accusing the Government of promoting a "negotiating farce" with teachers. This accusation comes in the context of negotiations between the Ministry of Education and teachers' unions on the recovery of service time frozen during the years of austerity.
The union considers that the absence of alterations in the draft decree-law demonstrates a lack of will on the part of the Executive to truly negotiate and address the teachers' demands. This situation worsens the already tense relations between the Ministry and the representatives of teachers.
