Rio de Janeiro City Hall changed the working hours of municipal employees this Friday (day 4) due to the first day of the Rock in Rio music festival. The working hours of the capital's employees will start at 8am and end at 3pm, differently from the usual schedule.
The measure was announced last night and published in the Official Gazette of the Municipality this Thursday (day 3). The justification presented by the city hall is the "expectation of a significant concentration of public in the City of Rock region and intense movement of people from different regions of Rio de Janeiro and other locations".
According to Decree 58,636, the idea is to "minimize the impacts resulting from the increase in the circulation of people and vehicles, especially in the Barra da Tijuca region and its main access points, as well as contribute to the proper execution of public operations intended for the event and the preservation of urban mobility".
