Fenprof accused the Government of promoting a "negotiation farce" with regard to teacher recruitment and placement. The trade union federation considers that the negotiation of the decree on this matter, including the supplementary negotiation that took place, did not represent a genuine effort to bring the positions of the executive and those defended by the trade union organization closer together.
According to Fenprof, the Government's posture throughout the entire negotiation process was characterized as a simple staging, without any real willingness to resolve the existing divergences with the federation. The federation understands that the executive did not demonstrate availability to bring its positions closer to the claims presented by the organization representing teachers.
This accusation comes following a decision that, for Fenprof, demonstrates the failures of the negotiation process. The federation maintains that the final decree does not reflect the concerns and proposals it presented throughout the negotiations with the Ministry of Education.
