Pedro Sánchez continues to fail to clarify the causes of the massive influx of immigrants in Ceuta, which is still under investigation and which he attributes to multiple factors, especially disinformation. However, he modulated his complacency with Morocco during his appearance before Congress on Thursday.
The Spanish prime minister assured that no report so far presents "solid evidence" that the neighboring country planned or executed what happened, although he avoided rushing to rule out any possibility.
"If there was incapacity or inaction, that is something that will have to be clarified," Sánchez stated, warning that "if there were solid evidence we would act accordingly." The leader thus maintains a cautious position while Spanish authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
