The commander of the PSP Metropolitan Command of Lisbon called today for greater investment in support for drug addicts. In an interview, the police official argued that the fight against drug trafficking and consumption should not be solely a police responsibility.
According to the commander, resolving this problem also requires intervention from the health and social security sectors. This position comes in the context of a broader appeal for collaboration between different government sectors.
