A four-year-old child witnessed her mother's death after she was attacked with scissors by her partner in a hotel corridor in Albufeira, in the Algarve. The child, who turned four on Wednesday, was present at the time of the crime.

The mother, a British national, was killed by her partner, also British, who stabbed her with scissors. The incident occurred in the corridor of a hotel in the Albufeira area, in Portugal.

The child's grandmother is already on her way to Portugal to collect the girl. The minor was left alone after her mother's death and now needs to be accompanied by a family member.

The case occurred in Albufeira, one of the most sought-after areas by British tourists in the Portuguese Algarve, and involves British citizens. Portuguese authorities are investigating the case.
