Açoriano Oriental2 September 2026 at 17:18

The Regional Government of the Azores will invest 1.3 million euros in upgrading agricultural roads on the islands of São Miguel, Pico and Terceira. This intervention aims to improve accessibility, circulation and safety conditions in the rural areas of these three islands of the archipelago.

This measure is part of a broader effort by the regional executive to support the agricultural sector in the Azores, where the rural road network plays a fundamental role in agricultural activity and in the lives of local communities.

The upgrading of these roads will allow better access to agricultural holdings, facilitating the transport of products and equipment, as well as contributing to the safety of users of these roads.

With this investment, the Regional Government aims to boost agriculture on the three islands, making rural infrastructure more functional and safer for farmers and residents of rural areas.
