Telefónica closed the sale of its historic headquarters located at number 28 on Calle Gran Vía in Madrid to Cartagena businessman Tomás Olivo for a value exceeding 200 million euros. The operation was reported by the newspaper Cinco Días, which cited sources from the telecommunications company led by Marc Murtra.

The headquarters on Gran Vía represents one of the most emblematic properties in Telefónica's heritage, marking a significant change in the company's real estate strategy. The sale was completed after an evaluation and negotiation process between the parties involved.

Tomás Olivo, known as a Murcian businessman from Cartagena, is the buyer who was responsible for the property. With this acquisition, Olivo reinforces his portfolio of prestigious real estate investments in Spain, adding an iconic building in the center of Madrid.

The information about the transaction was revealed by the economic daily Cinco Días, which obtained the details through sources close to Telefónica.
