DS Imobiliária increases billing by 24% and sales by 10% in the first half

DS Imobiliária achieved billing of over two million euros in real estate mediation commissions in the first half, representing 24% growth compared to the same period last year, with the sale of 306 properties in a total volume of over 57 million euros, 10% more than the previous year. HOUSING: WHERE THERE IS MORE DEMAND, THERE IS NOT ALWAYS MORE CONSTRUCTION

A new study reveals that Portugal currently builds far fewer homes than at the turn of the century, but with significant regional differences. The North leads with 939 dwellings licensed per 100,000 inhabitants, almost double that of Greater Lisbon (496), while the Alentejo has the lowest figures (415). The study warns that, although construction is low across the country, many areas with higher demand - such as Greater Lisbon and the Algarve - have insufficient construction levels relative to existing demand, contributing to pressure on housing prices.
