Sixty-five households will be supported by the Municipality of Loulé in the fourth edition of the Housing Rental Subsidy. Contracts with the covered residents were signed throughout the last week, as part of the Local Housing Strategy 2019-2032.
The measure is aimed at families facing high financial overload with housing costs and difficulties accessing the rental market in the municipality. The support aims to reduce the financial effort associated with paying rents, helping to ensure families' access to and permanence in adequate housing with affordable costs.
The mayor of the Municipality of Loulé, Telmo Pinto, states that both the amount allocated to this initiative and the number of families supported will be increased. The mayor considers that, alongside the provision of housing for rental, the subsidy constitutes one of the main measures to address a problem that is global and is also felt acutely in the municipality.
