Eco2 September 2026 at 12:06

Pestana Hotel Group has opened applications for the 2027 edition of the "Growing Together" global development program, aimed at hospitality professionals who wish to develop management and leadership skills. Created in 2008, the program runs for 18 months in a paid full-time regime, during which participants are challenged to learn about the different departments of a hotel and have an international experience.

The program accepts internal and external candidates to the group, as long as they have some hotel experience. Fluency in English and availability for geographic mobility is required, both in Portugal and abroad. Applications close on October 2nd.

The program is divided into two phases. In the first 12 months, participants go through different operational and corporate departments, as well as various hotel units of the group in Portugal, Europe, the United States and Africa. The goal is to provide a cross-sectional understanding of the business and a complete vision of hotel unit management and team leadership. In the following six months, each participant deepens their path in an area of specialization, such as food & beverage, front office, housekeeping, catering & events, kitchen or hotel management.

Throughout the 15 editions carried out over 18 years, the program has demonstrated a significant impact on the career evolution of participants. One in every two participants progressed to an operational leadership role, and almost 70% of those who advanced professionally remained at Pestana Hotel Group.
