DSTsolar, a company of DSTgroup specialized in photovoltaic solutions, will lead a project of around seven million euros for the production, storage and collective self-consumption of energy at the Casarão Business Park, in Águeda. The project is promoted by the Municipality of Águeda and is part of the investment "New Generation Business Reception Areas".
The project provides for the installation of 15 energy production and storage units, with a total photovoltaic capacity of 9.31 megawatts-peak and 9 megawatt-hours of storage. The intervention will create a common energy infrastructure for the companies in the business park, through a collective self-consumption community that will cover 15 entities.
The model will allow companies to produce, store, share and consume renewable energy locally, seeking to increase energy efficiency, reduce dependence on the electrical grid, decrease energy costs and carbon footprint. DSTsolar considers that the intervention may contribute to improving the energy conditions of companies and reinforcing the competitiveness and resilience of the local business fabric.
The project includes the participation of b-again, a DSTgroup company specialized in energy storage, which will be responsible for the development and implementation of the battery system. According to the executive administrator of DSTsolar, Sérgio Vieira, leading this intervention represents the reinforcement of the company's commitment to sustainable and technologically advanced energy solutions, aligned with the decarbonization and competitiveness objectives of companies.
