Diesel could have one of the biggest increases in recent weeks next Monday

Diesel could register one of the biggest increases in recent weeks next Monday, according to numbers obtained by SIC. This increase represents a significant rise in fuel prices.

According to information collected by SIC, the price of diesel could increase 14 cents per liter. Gasoline is also expected to rise, but more moderately, with a forecast increase of 7 cents.

The final fuel values will only be finalized at the end of the week, when current forecasts are confirmed. Until then, consumers should wait for official confirmation of the new prices.

Strike notices surge almost 65% in the first seven months of the year

In the first seven months of 2026, 739 strike pre-notices were registered in Portugal, an increase of almost 65% compared to the same period in 2025 (449 notices), according to data from DGERT.
