A lighthouse will guide the journey towards the Portimão-Lagoa Mediterranean Beach Games

The Portimão-Lagoa 2027 Mediterranean Beach Games were presented in Taranto, Italy, with the competition taking place between September 11 and 18, 2027, including 14 sports and with sustainability as one of its main flags. Rocha Beach will host the main stadium with capacity for 2,500 spectators and the Opening Ceremony, while Lagoa's Grande Beach will host other sports. The symbol of the Games is a lighthouse inspired by the Ferragudo Lighthouse, which will guide the countdown to the event. Between 800 and 900 athletes are expected, staying in 11 nearby hotels to avoid transport problems similar to those faced in Taranto. The Secretary-General of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games praised the organization's progress and expressed confidence that Portugal will present "the best Games ever".
