After a successful, initially secret trial in the North Atlantic, the German armed forces intend to purchase the LORA ballistic missile from Israel Aerospace. The test is said to have been the first operational use of this weapons system by Germany.
The LORA is described as a super-missile and is expected to serve as a complement to the Taurus missile system already in use by the German armed forces. The acquisition decision comes following this successful trial in the North Atlantic.
Israel Aerospace is the company responsible for the development and production of the LORA missile, whose secretly conducted test was considered successful by German authorities.
