Public guarantee increased by 100 million for Montepio and Novobanco

The Government increased the public guarantee by 100 million euros for Montepio and Novobanco. Of this amount, 60 million euros are destined for Montepio and the remaining 40 million for Novobanco. The reinforcement of guarantees is based on the forecast of credit operations to be carried out by the two banks. This measure aims to support banking activity and access to credit by clients of these institutions.

Portugal follows trend of lower wealth combined with debt reduction
