Clube de Golfe de Viana do Castelo (CGVC) held on August 28 the sixth edition of the Tournament Friends of Golf and Good Food – Monte da Madalena Restaurante "Cabritinho", at the Áxis Golfe course in Ponte de Lima. The event featured the participation of 69 players, who despite the rain at the start of the initiative, made this date a day dedicated to socializing and sporting practice.
In the Gross classification, Rui Martins, with handicap 4 and playing handicap 2, was the best player on the course by scoring 33 points. In the Net classification, Manuel Faria won with 39 points, followed by Orlando Silva with 38 points. The "unlucky" prize was awarded to Carlos Alberto Gonçalves with 17 points.
The tournament ended with a fraternization lunch offered by Monte da Madalena Restaurante, which included the traditional cabritinho that gives its name to the event, followed by the award ceremony for the winners. The organization highlighted the contribution of the players, members, sponsors, and the teams from Áxis Golfe Ponte de Lima and Monte da Madalena to the success of the initiative.
CGVC already has the seventh edition of this tournament planned for 2027, demonstrating the club's ongoing commitment to organizing this competition that combines sport and gastronomy.
