Festas da Guia in Albufeira, held on August 29 and 30, recorded one of the highest public turnouts ever, with a record number of visitors on Saturday night, boosted by Bonga's concert at the Polidesportivo da Guia. The event included religious celebrations with masses and processions in honor of Our Lady of Guia and Saint Louis, as well as musical entertainment, although Ruth Marlene's performance was cancelled due to health reasons. The president of the Junta de Freguesia da Guia, Dinis Nascimento, highlighted the importance of the festivities for preserving local traditions, thanking the involvement of residents, volunteers, associations, artists, security forces and the Municipality of Albufeira in organizing the event.
