Fafá de Belém will be the main attraction at the opening of the 4th Amir Haddad Theater Festival on September 18 with a free show at Praça dos Arcos da Lapa in Rio de Janeiro. The performance marks the beginning of an extensive program that brings together about 80 attractions including theater music public art literature cinema workshops and conversations distributed across different spaces in the region until September 25.
The festival features the theme "Viva o Povo Brasileiro!" and is divided into two distinct moments. Act I called "The Street" takes place on September 18 19 and 20 at Praça Cardeal Câmara under the Arcos da Lapa with outdoor activities. Act II called "The House" runs from September 21 to 25 at the headquarters of Grupo Tá Na Rua on Avenida Mem de Sá where the enclosed space performances will be held.
Tickets for the enclosed space performances cost from R$ 25 for half price and R$ 50 for full price. The event celebrates Brazilian culture through diverse artistic expressions occupying both public spaces and traditional theater venues in the Lapa region.
