The young volunteering project "Roots of Tomorrow", promoted by the Municipality of Covilhã in partnership with the Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth (IPDJ), ended on August 31st with a very positive assessment. This initiative took place within the scope of the ENVOLVE-TE AMBIENTE program — Young Volunteering Program for Nature and Forests.
The project started on August 11th and aimed at the regeneration of burned areas in the municipality of Covilhã. Young volunteers participated in practical environmental intervention activities aimed at the recovery of areas affected by fires.
The ENVOLVE-TE AMBIENTE is a young volunteering program that focuses on the protection of nature and forests, mobilizing young people for concrete environmental recovery actions in territories that were devastated by fires.
