Martifer invested 7.6 million euros in the naval area during the first half of 2026, destined for the construction of a new dry dock in Viana do Castelo. This investment aims at the renewal and repair of larger ships, representing a significant bet on the Portuguese naval sector.

This value is part of a global investment plan of 10.4 million euros applied by the group in the first six months of the year. Although most was directed to Portugal, two million euros were channeled to renewable energy projects in Poland.

The Martifer group has been recovering from financial losses of around 8 million euros. Despite previous losses, the group's sales increased by 3%, reaching 146 million euros, with the international market representing 67% of business volume and Portugal accounting for the remaining 33%.

The administration considers that the evolution is in line with the investment plan currently underway, demonstrating confidence in the company's recovery trajectory.
