Fenprof made an assessment of the teacher shortage 15 days before the start of the school year, on the day thousands of teachers returned to schools. The union warned of the scarcity of teachers affecting the Portuguese education sector at the start of the year.

According to the data presented, in just one school cluster there are 57 first cycle schedules yet to be filled. This number illustrates the magnitude of the problem facing the Portuguese education system at the start of the new school year.

Fenprof emphasized that the situation represents a significant challenge for the functioning of schools and for the quality of education offered to students. The return of teachers to schools coincides with the urgent need to address these teaching staff shortages.

The union warned of the need for immediate solutions to ensure that all classes have assigned teachers before the start of classes.

The Generalitat asks the central Government to accelerate the regeneration of the coast between Castelló and Sagunt

The Generalitat Valenciana maintains a conflict with the Ministry of Ecological Transition (Miteco) regarding coastal demarcations, asking the central Government to accelerate the regeneration of the coast between Castelló and Sagunt. This legal dispute resulted in the decision of the Constitutional Court to suspend the article of the coastal protection law that created the urban heritage figure of "ethnological nuclei", used as an anti-demarcation shield. The confrontation in the high court concerns the constitutionality of this article included in the Valencian coastal law.
