Europe Direct and Mira Municipality Promote Environmental Action at Mira Beach

Europe Direct Coimbra and Leiria Region, in partnership with the Municipality of Mira, carried out on August 31st an environmental awareness action at Mira Beach. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among children and youth about ocean protection and environmental preservation.

The action involved children and youth from the ATL of the Parish Support Unit, who participated in educational activities on the beach. Participants were encouraged to learn about and understand the importance of oceans for environmental balance.

The collaboration between Europe Direct and the Municipality of Mira demonstrates the commitment of both entities to promoting environmental education among younger generations. This action is part of a broader effort to raise awareness about environmental issues in coastal communities.
