The blood donor association in Portalegre celebrated its 36th anniversary, marking more than three decades of continuous activity in the region. Paulo Cardoso, spokesperson for the institution, was involved in the festivities that marked this significant date.

The anniversary symbolizes the continuity of the dream of the association's founder, António Eustáquio, who envisioned an institution dedicated to blood donation collection and promotion. This milestone also represents the fulfillment of a legacy that has endured for nearly four decades.

Over these more than 35 years, the association's work has profoundly changed the way hospitals in the region access the blood needed to treat patients. The institution has thus become an essential reference in blood supply for medical purposes.
